What are emotions?
Emotions are powerful, often they feel so consuming and like they have a mind of their own. It is like they take over us, making us act in ways that are contradictive to what we wanted. Emotions feel like a force in themselves and they are, they are the driving life force of our spirit. If emotions are harnessed correctly, understood non-judgementally, and soothed in the right way, they bring so much to our lives. Ultimately, emotions are our guiding system, the lessons we need to learn, the beliefs we have, and our true desires.
Emotions used to scare me, I felt like I had no control over them. Until I learnt to hear what they were trying to tell me. Until I learnt how to sooth myself, allow the energy to pass through me and learn gratitude towards them. When I used the tools I teach in this workshop, I gained so much more self-control and an intimate connection with myself. I discovered what beliefs were driving my emotions and my actions. I developed calmer, deeper and more loving connections because I learnt to process my emotions internally rather than projecting them externally. I learnt the valuable insights my emotions were telling me and developed a deeper self-love from understanding them.
